Why Are Players Leaving? Another star Player Sends farewell message To Fans As He Depart the Team Due to…..

Broncos announce departures; six players’ fates remain uncertain.
Six Broncos players have yet to declare their fate.

The Brisbane Broncos have left six players’ futures uncertain, announcing that their only end-of-season departures are Herbie Farnworth, Thomas Flegler, and Keenan Palasia.

The trio joins Ethan Quai-Ward, who moved to the Canterbury Bulldogs in the middle of the season, as Brisbane’s losses reach the end of 2023.

At this point, the team has only signed Fletcher Baker and will have roster spaces available in 2024, with six players coming off contract and still deciding whether or not to renew.

Corey Oates is the most notable of them. While he had a player option for 2024, he declined and has been in talks with the club ever since.

He has indicated his desire to stay at Red Hill on several occasions, publicly claiming that it is where he wants to play rugby league, despite the fact that a contract has yet to be signed.

Josh Rogers, who was on a development contract in 2023 and made his NRL debut at five-eighth in Round 27 as Kevin Walters rested most of Brisbane’s best 17, has also apparently been elevated to a Top 30 deal, but that report was made in early September and has yet to be confirmed by the club.

Logan Bayloiss-Brown and Brendan Frei were both reportedly dismissed by the Broncos, although they were not included in Brisbane’s departures announcement on Thursday morning.

Jordan Pereira and Tyson Smoothy round out the list.

Pereira appeared only once in 2023, and there has been no discussion about his future. Overall, he has 14 tries in 45 NRL appearances with the Broncos (since the start of 2022) and St George Illawarra Dragons (2018–2021).

Smoothy, on the other hand, may have his contract renewed, while squad balance is a hot topic at Red Hill.

Brisbane Broncos star Herbie Farnworth reveals why he joined the Dolphins

Brisbane already has Billy Walters, Cory Paix, and Blake Mozer on its roster. Mozer is regarded as a future great dummy half, while Walters has performed admirably for Brisbane in recent times.

It has been claimed in recent days, however, that Paix, who was overtaken for a bench spot in the second half of 2023, may quit the club in 2024, allowing the Broncos to justify re-signing Smoothy.
