Good News: Chicago Bulls Are Bringing Him Back………

Coby White is preparing to return and claims he dodged a bullet in a terrible fall against the Indiana Pacers.
“I was blessed that nothing major happened.”

In a season marred by unfortunate injuries to multiple key players, the Chicago Bulls have finally gotten a break, as star guard Coby White is set to return to action on Thursday against the Houston Rockets.

The emerging talent suffered a minor hip strain that appeared to be worse than it was when Indiana Pacers forward Paskal Siakam jumped on White’s back after blocking his layup attempt. White writhed in agony as his knee twisted at an odd angle while bearing the weight of Siakam’s torso.

Replay looked terrible.
After practice on Wednesday, White talked with media for the first time since the March 13 incident. He stated he saw the replay of the action and it looked “bad,” but he affirmed that he was not seriously injured.

“To me, the replay is bad,” White added.

“But I don’t think it’s as horrible as everyone made it appear. It was simply an uncomfortable landing, and he fell on me.”

White acknowledged his offseason flexibility work for getting him out of a potentially catastrophic position.

“They say I escaped a gunshot. It could have been far worse. They claimed I’m pretty adaptable, which benefited me in that scenario. I’m simply glad. I believe God was with me at that point, and I’m just thankful it wasn’t something terrible, just a strain,” White continued.

Silver lining
Although White’s comeback is uncertain, the former Tar Heel stated that his availability for Thursday’s game will be determined by how he feels when he wakes up.

“Overall, I feel quite good. We’ll see how Thursday goes. When I wake up, I check to see if anything is painful or if I am feeling anything. “Then we’ll go from there,” White said.

White said that if there was a silver lining to his injury, it was the opportunity to rest. Before his injury, White led the league in total minutes played.

“It was beneficial for me. Obviously, I do not want to miss games. But, because it happened and I was harmed, I wanted to take advantage of the time off and heal intellectually, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. To me, I simply attempted to convert everything into a positive,” White joked.
