Mitchell Moses, the Parramatta Eels’ standout halfback, is reportedly pushing for an early return from a fractured foot.

Moses suffered the injury in Round 5 against the Canberra Raiders and was expected to be out until at least Round 12 due to a two-month rehabilitation period following surgery to correct the damage.
His absence, which has seen regular five-eighth Dylan Brown shift to halfback, has been nothing short of devastating for Parramatta, who lost to the Raiders in Round 5 and have won only one of their past three games before their bye in Round 9.

A Magic Round return would cause Moses to miss their next game against the Brisbane Broncos, with a possible comeback on May 19 against the Melbourne Storm.

Moses and Joseph Suaalii, who will leave for rugby union at the end of the year, might be considered for State of Origin selection after playing two games.
