Some players will wear Bears jerseys for their final game with the team on Sunday. Who might those players be? Here are some players that may play their final game for the Bears versus the Packers.

Darnell Mooney

Darnell Mooney has already completed his fourth season with the Bears, but he will miss Sunday’s game against the Packers due to a concussion.

Mooney and the Bears did not renew his rookie contract last offseason or this season. There are no indications that the Bears intend to re-sign the wide receiver; but, the Bears have not indicated that they are opposed to doing so.

However, after two fruitless seasons with Justin Fields, the Bears are unlikely to re-sign Mooney. He struggled in 2021 as the team’s de facto first option. This season, Mooney was anticipated to excel behind DJ Moore, who faced less defensive pressure.

Unfortunately, that is not how things turned out for him. Mooney will finish 15 games this season with 31 receptions, 414 receiving yards, and one score through the air. That isn’t enough.
