Despite his miraculous recovery from an ankle injury, the Broncos and Blues are concerned about Haas. — NRL Casualty Ward
Payne Haas gave Michael Maguire and the Blues a major scare when he was carried off the pitch with an ankle injury before amazingly returning to finish the game.
Kevvie Walters stated in his news conference that Haas was well, but the Broncos and Blues will continue to be concerned about any possible damage caused by Haas’ injury.
“He returned to the pitch, but I don’t know if he is out of the woods yet,” remarked Mal Meninga.
“He could not put weight on that leg. However, they would not needle him if there was a chance of long-term harm.”
