In light of this, should the Rams sign the Super Bowl winner to a contract extension equivalent to that of Goff? Only 31% of LA fans would approve of a deal that would give Stafford a huge extension, so the majority of fans are against his getting one.Bet $10 on the Los Angeles Rams (+3)

Whatever the fans’ opinions of Jared Goff, considering his recent work in the Motor City, he deserves his deal. With a 12-5 record in 2023, Goff led the Lions to their first-ever NFC North championship and an NFC Championship game trip. We’re going to find out if the former first-overall pick lives up to this contract after he revived his career in Detroit.

Regarding Stafford, I concur with the supporters who oppose his receiving a contract extension like to that of Goff. Stafford’s net worth at this point in his career is not more than $50 million annually. The 36-year-old Georgia product has a history of injuries that provides cause for concern. Including part of the 2022 season, Stafford has missed nine games since agreeing to a contract deal with LA.

For the Rams front management, signing a signal caller like Goff at his age would be risky. Even if he is a top-five quarterback when healthy, this is not a topic for debate. Though I adore Matthew Stafford, Les Snead has to bite his tongue.
