Good News : The Clemson Tigers Are Bringing Him Back…………

Dabo Swinney added no transfers to the winter portal. Will Clemson football coach have more success in spring?

The spring football transfer window is open until April 30, and Clemson has lost two players to the portal: freshman defensive end Adam Kissayi and redshirt freshman offensive lineman Zack Owens.

The Tigers now have 83 of 85 scholarship players on their roster, allowing coach Dabo Swinney to add two prospective transfers. His forte, however, has not been the gateway, with only two transfer players, both quarterbacks, during the last two years.

Although Swinney focuses more on recruiting and developing high school players, he sought to sign four offensive lineman in the prior window, but all selected different colleges. Nonetheless, he can make big additions to Clemson’s roster before the portal closes.

Here are three needs that the Tigers must meet with assistance from the transfer portal:

Offensive line
Clemson’s offensive line did not have the finest performance in the annual spring game. Despite the fact that the rosters were split in half, both teams’ running backs gained 74 yards on 34 carries, while their offensive lines allowed a total of nine sacks. Swinney declared the quarterbacks non-contact and promptly whistled a sack anytime a defender came within arms’ length of them.

The team will welcome back guard Walker Parks, who had a season-ending lower-body injury last season, in the summer. Still, Clemson needs to add a lineman with game experience to assist a group that has battled injuries for the past two years and allowed 28 sacks in back-to-back seasons.
