Sad News: As Clemson Tigers Star suffering a career ending injury ……….

Beaux Collins injury update: Clemson football WR tore plantar fascia against UNC; status uncertain.

Clemson wide receiver Beaux Collins tore his plantar fascia during Saturday’s 31-20 victory over No. 20 North Carolina, according to coach Dabo Swinney. Swinney said he isn’t sure what the junior’s prognosis is, but it was generally good news in terms of injuries.

“I think it’s a good thing,” Swinney added. “I don’t believe we need (plantar fascia). They simply hurt… We’ll see what the situation with him is.”

According to the Johns Hopkins Medicine website, the plantar fascia is a thick, fibrous band of tissue that runs around the bottom of the foot. It joins to the heel bone and the base of the toes, supporting the arch of the foot.
Collins entered Saturday’s game as Clemson’s leading receiver, with 510 yards and three scores from 38 grabs.

If Collins loses time, he will become the third wide receiver out due to injury. Sophomore Antonio Williams has missed four games due to a foot ailment, while redshirt freshman Cole Turner had a season-ending injury following Week 3.

Other receivers have had injuries as well. Swinney confirmed that sophomore Adam Randall is playing despite having a broken hand. Troy Stellato, a redshirt sophomore, temporarily left the game clutching his shoulder before returning shortly afterwards.

Clemson (7-4) will finish the regular season at South Carolina on November 25 (7:30 p.m. ET, SECN).
