Heartbreaking News: Auburn Tigers star Sends Farewell Message To Fans as He depart team ……

Breaking down everything Auburn football has lost and gained through the transfer portal.

AUBURN — Auburn football isn’t done making moves in the transfer portal — former San Jose State cornerback Jayvion Cole is scheduled to visit from May 7-9 — but any additions will most likely be on the fringes of the roster at this point.

At the moment, there are 20 departures and 13 additions on the transfer list. Six of those exits and four of those immigrants came during the spring portal window, which opened on April 16.

Here’s a numbers-based look at what Auburn has gained and lost:

Quarterback

  • Gained: N/A
  • Lost: 14 completions, 145 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions
The Tigers signed a quarterback from last season, Cal transfer Sam Jackson V, but he will play wide on the Plains instead. As a result, his passing statistics from the previous season will not be considered. Auburn’s only quarterback loss this offseason was Robby Ashford, who also rushed for 217 yards and five touchdowns on 46 attempts.

Similar to QB, the Tigers did not lose any of their top four running backs through the portal; Jarquez Hunter, Damari Alston, Jeremiah Cobb, and Brian Battie are all expected to return for another season alongside one another. Hunter is the presumed starter, but all four alternatives provide value. The coaching staff will face challenges in determining how to get the ball into each of their hands.

Auburn has lost six receivers to the portal this summer while adding three. The majority of the lost productivity comes from Ja’Varrius Johnson and Jay Fair, who combined for 50 receptions, 671 receiving yards, and five receiving touchdowns. The whole production increase comes from Penn State transfer KeAndre Lambert-Smith and former Georgia State standout Robert Lewis.
