Lewis Hamilton offers emotional message to Arsenal following Manchester City’s Premier League victory win

Lewis Hamilton has claimed he is’so proud’ of Arsenal’s form this season, despite the north London club barely missing out on the Premier League title.

The Gunners went into the last day of the season expecting that West Ham would do them a favour by taking something from their game against Manchester City.

Arsenal defeated Everton 2-1, with goals from Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kai Havertz.

But City were crowned champions after a 3-1 win over West Ham, with Phil Foden scoring twice and Rodri also scoring.

Hamilton is an avid Arsenal fan.

And the F1 star, posting on Instagram, said he was’so proud’ of their efforts this season, despite falling short.

“Proud of this team,” he wrote. “It’s ours next season.”

Arsenal challenged City for Premier League supremacy last season, but came up short.

And history repeated itself on Sunday, with the Gunners having gone two decades and counting since their last league title.

Arsenal have lost only one league game in 2024.

They scored 91 goals in 38 matches, allowing only 29.

However, Mikel Arteta’s team will have to lick their wounds and try again if they are to beat City to the title last season.

Arteta addressed the Arsenal faithful at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, vowing that his team will give all to end their long wait for the league title.

“All this is happening because you started believing, you started to be patient and started to understand what we tried to do,” he said.
