Saka, Partey, Gabriel – Arsenal injury news and return dates for Man City with huge update
Arsenal injury news as big group now absent from international duty as Mikel Arteta builds towards Manchester City

Three weeks ago Mikel Arteta was planning for the international break without at least four of his first team squad that are now present at the Sobha Realty Training Ground. During the time away from domestic football Arsenal are preparing for a potentially season-defining clash against Manchester City.

It’s only nine days until the Gunners travel to the Etihad Stadium, and a quartet of players who are frequently on international duty have all been pulled or left out of squads. While it is slightly concerning that they have not been pronounced totally fit to participate, it is an unexpected opportunity to collaborate ahead of the game.

At this point, none of the issues appear to be serious, with Arteta hopeful of fielding a nearly fully fit squad for the game. However, his players’ fitness will be continuously checked during the buildup.

Saka was dropped from England’s team ahead of friendly against Brazil and Belgium. He missed the entire training session on Wednesday and focused on his own fitness regimen before a statement confirmed his departure from the camp.
Football.london understands that this is a preventative move in response to a small muscle issue. He will be rehabilitated at the Sobha Realty Training Ground.

England issued the following statement: “Bukayo Saka has left the England camp and returned to his club for further recuperation. The Arsenal attacker reported to St. George’s Park with an injury and has been unable to workout.

No additional alterations are scheduled as England’s 25-man squad prepares for upcoming internationals against Brazil and Belgium.
