TCU Women’s Basketball Sydney Harris to enter the transfer portal.
Sydney Harris, a sophomore guard, will transfer after one season at TCU.
One of TCU’s top women’s basketball players has entered the transfer portal. Sydney Harris will join three other Horned Frogs in moving from Fort Worth, the school said on Wednesday.

“I am very grateful for the experiences and opportunities I have had here at TCU, but I believe this decision is best for not only my athletic future, but also my mental health,” Harris said of her decision to enter the gateway.

Harris played in 16 games for Mark Campbell‘s team this season averaging 9.4 points and 3.2 rebounds. The sophomore guard mainly served as a three-point shooter, knocking down two three-point shots a game at a 40 percent rate.

Harris began her career at Central Michigan, earning Mid-American Conference (MAC) Freshman of the Year and All-Mac Third Team in her one season as a Chippewa. She led her team in scoring averaging 17.4 points on the year before leaving for TCU after just one year.

TCU women’s basketball now has five players in the portal joining Victoria FloresJade ClackBre’Yon White and Paige Bradley. The Frogs do have an addition in former Miami guard Haley Cavinder coming in, but they will look to add more replacements in the portal.

Players eligible to return next season:

Madison Conner
Una Jovanovic
Agnes Emma Nnopu
Daija Turner
Sedona Prince (waiver eligible)
Aaliyah Roberson
With only seven players anticipated to be on scholarship, the Horned Frogs have six positions to fill heading into next season. Expect TCU to look very different when they begin play in November.

Last season, the Frogs had the best single-season turnaround in power five basketball, improving by 13 wins, making TCU an enticing destination for players in the portal. Coach Campbell might make the offseason more exciting for Frog fans.

Last season, the Horned Frogs added notable transfers such as Jaden Owens, Sedona Prince, Madison Conner, and Agnes Emma-Nnopu. Campbell and his staff will adopt a similar strategy to assembling the majority of next season’s team in the new era of college sports’ transfer portals.
